The Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy Program is a grief-focused program specifically centered around a somatic approach and a body-mind connection. Through the mindful practice of gentle yoga, meditation, and breathwork therapy, we explore all four bodies (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) to not only help you feel and lean into your grief but also to understand and process your emotions and grief within a safe and supportive environment where your grief is validated.
 Grief Yoga Therapy combines traditional yoga principles with dual language techniques.

By engaging in mindful movements and concentrating on the four body sensations, Grief Yoga Therapy enables you to uncover areas of tension and emotional, mental, and spiritual blockages that may impede your healing journey. This practice nurtures a greater awareness of your body's inherent wisdom, fostering a natural flow of healing energy that promotes emotional balance and stability.

During this program you will learn how to shift your grief within your body, allowing you to become ‘unstuck’ in your grief and with your emotions. You will also learn how to connect with your inner wisdom as you venture through your grief journey. You will be held, seen, and heard, and offered a safe space to be witnessed, and you will also be a witness for others in their grief.

This program is designed for anyone grieving a loss in their life, and in search of connection with other grievers, understanding, support, healing, and hope for the future. This program offers a gentle and mindful style of yoga and is suitable for all fitness levels, and for those who are new or those who currently practice yoga and meditation, all are welcome.

This program is limited to 8 participants to keep the group small and intimate.

Grief Facilitator: Melissa Lindsay

Melissa Lindsay - Grief Yoga Therapist

Melissa is a qualified Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapist and Group Facilitator, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Creative Arts Therapist and Group Facilitator, Holistic Grief Counsellor, and a certified Sound and Vibrational Healing Practitioner. She facilitates the Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapy Programs throughout Australia and internationally.

Her passion for these programs and supporting grievers in their darkest days is driven by her own grief after her husband passed and she found the elements and holistic tools of this program to be extremely powerful in her own grieving and healing process.

She provides a safe and sacred space for grievers to hold, acknowledge, and process their grief, and through her understanding, compassion, and authenticity, she allows grievers to shift and move through their grief, whilst still holding onto the love that grief carries.
